Nonfarm employment falls in Sacramento

The Sacramento region’s unemployment rate fell to 4.8% in the December jobs report from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, from a revised 5.1% in November. The year-ago estimate for Sacramento was 4.5%, while the statewide rate for California in December was 5.1%.
