Pension Fund Buys 50% Stake in Wells Fargo Plaza

Pair of Institutional Investors Will Jointly Own Asset

The New York State Common Retirement Fund acquired a 50% ownership share from MetLife in Wells Fargo Plaza, the 71-story, 1.7 million-square-foot office tower that stands at 1000 Louisiana Street in downtown Houston’s central business district. MetLife will retain asset management control over the property and the remaining 50% ownership interest.
