Bartolomeo Fusco
Fusco has been named the general manager of the Orient Express Venice, which is due to open in early 2026 in the Palazzo Donà Giovannelli. Previously, he was general manager at the Aman Rosa Alpina in San Cassiano, Italy, and deputy general manager at the Aman Venice. His career also included roles in Montenegro and Morocco.
Heinrich Morio
Morio has been tapped by IHG Hotels & Resorts as its managing director of hotel Ciel Dubai Marina, Vignette Collection, which is due to open later this month. His lengthy career includes past roles at Noble House Hotels & Resorts, Peninsula Group and Ritz-Carlton Hotels & Resorts and at hotels such as the Jumeirah Burj Al Arab; The Standard, Bangkok Mahanakhon, and One&Only Le Saint Géran.
Ahmed Abouzeid
Abouzeid has been named as development manager for the Middle East and Africa at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, based in Cairo. Before this, Abouzeid had the same role at firm Arkan Palm for Real Estate Investment, based in Giza, Egypt, as well as prior roles at Cairo-based Al Marasem Group.
Lucija Jukić
Jukić has started at Croatian hotel firm Lošinj Hotels & Villas as executive director of sales and marketing. Before coming to Lošinj, Jukić was at Crikvenica, Croatia-based Jadran Hotels & Camps, where she was director of sales and marketing for a portfolio of 18 hotels and three campsites.
Martin Vossen
Vossen has been announced as CEO at Geneva-based Ultima Capital and hotel operator Ultima Collection, which has hotels — as well as villas and residences — in France, Greece and Switzerland. Previously, Vossen was CEO of luxury hotel developer Hera Hospitality Operations AG and, before that, CEO of Zurich-based developer Planhotel Hospitality Group.
Barbara Biffi
Biffi has been named as chief brand officer at Kempinski Hotels. Her career to this point has been in the cruise industry, most recently as senior vice president of global sales at Silversea, after a role at that company as vice president of brand. She also had had senior roles at MSC Cruises.
Jade Humphrey
Humphrey has been named hotel development sales director at BWH Hotels Great Britain. Humphrey previously worked outside of the hotel industry as a project manager of digital transformation at the National Health Service. But he has also had roles at Choice Hotels, Hilton and IHG Hotels & Resorts.
Jason Kruse
Kruse has signed on at Minor Hotels as complex general manager of three of the firm’s hotels in The Maldives: the Anantara Dhigu Maldives Resort, the Anantara Veli Maldives Resort, and the Naladhu Private Island Maldives. Kruse was formerly general manager at the JA Manafaru, also in The Maldives.
Graham Dodd
Dodd has been named vice president of development, premium, midscale and economy for the United Kingdom and Ireland at Accor. A veteran of the hotel industry, Dodd was previously managing director of development at Hilton.
