UK developer NooKo has appointed By Design to market two landmark investment opportunities in Exeter city centre.
The buildings are Paternoster House at North Street and Concord House on South Street.
NooKo is seeking £13.5 million for the Paternoster House mixed-use conversion which completed in 2025. The development comprises 22,000 square feet of residential with 29 apartments and 56 rooms and 9,000 square foot of commercial. The apartments have been sold and the commercial is 100% occupied by Søstrene Grene and Vyve Pilates.
It is seeking £7 million for Concord House. The building comprises 21,000 square feet of sold residential with 28 apartments and 42 bedrooms. It includes 8,000 square feet of commercial 100% occupied by Kaspas and Vyve Gym.
NooKo has recently begun work on its redevelopment of Exeter's best-known commercial site, with £17 million plans to redevelop the Royal Clarence Hotel as a Michelin starred restaurant, pub and flats following its fire damage in 2016. The site next to the Cathedral dates back to 1769.
Each development is held in a separate special purpose vehicle and it is understood that NooKo will ultimately consider a sale of the Royal Clarence SPV and the company.
William Swinburn, managing director, By Design Bristol, said in a statement: "I’m delighted to have been appointed to oversee the sale of Paternoster House and Concord House, two exceptional mixed-use freehold investment opportunities in the heart of the City.
"Exeter is entering an exciting new chapter, with NooKo helping to lead the way and setting a new standard for regeneration across the city, not least through the redevelopment of the iconic Royal Clarence site.”
