CBRE Executive Director Stewart Smith will retire at the end of December 2022 after more than 35 years with the global adviser.

Smith, a widely respected figure in the London office market, has worked at CBRE delivering brokerage and strategic advice to clients and the business.

He created CBRE’s Tenant Advisory Group in 2005, an industry first, and more recently established and led its UK flex business from 2018. Smith has advised key occupier and investor clients including The Cadogan Estate, the London Borough of Camden and the Financial Conduct Authority at Stratford.

Richard Smart, managing director of London at CBRE Advisory, said in a statement: “Stewart has been an incredible colleague, mentor and friend to many within CBRE. His leadership within the London business has materially helped to shape the team we have today, and we thank him for such a tremendous contribution."

Smith added: “It has been a great experience. I have been privileged to work with great clients and outstanding teams within CBRE, and I leave behind many friends at CBRE and in the wider industry.”
