Brookfield Office Properties, the office division of Brookfield Property Partners (NSYE: BPY), has promoted Paul L. Schulman to president and chief operating officer of its U.S. commercial operations.
In his new role, Schulman will oversee day-to-day operations of the firm's 57 million-square-foot office business, in addition to overseeing asset management, leasing, and operations of Brookfield's 63-property office portfolio spanning New York City, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Houston, Denver, Boston, Seattle, and San Francisco.
Schulman has been with Brookfield for the past 16 years, most recently as COO of Brookfield US. Before that he served as senior vice president and regional head of Brookfield's Washington, DC region. Schulman's 20 years in the commercial real estate industry includes a stint as an asset manager at the JBG Companies.

A member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), the Urban Land Institute (ULI), and CoreNet Global, Paul Schulman holds an MBA from The American University and received his bachelor's degree in business marketing from the University of Maryland.
