Lance Armstrong Forms Real Estate Company
Seven-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong partnered with agent Bill Stapleton and business manager Bart Knaggs to form CSE Realty Partners, a real estate investment firm in Austin, TX, that targets office, industrial, retail and multitfamily acquisitions in central Texas. Former Trammell Crow Co. exec Lance Sallis will head the privately held company along with Patrick Jeffers, another former exec from TCC.
Sallis, an office and industrial specialist and 20-year industry veteran, spent more than seven years in high level positions at TCC in Austin, most recently as managing director, before leaving the firm in March. Jeffers was an NFL wide receiver for seven years and was part of the Super Bowl XXXII winning Denver Broncos team before joining the commercial real estate world. He earned his MBA in 2005 and was most recently a vice president at TCC.
Armstrong, Stapleton and Knaggs have several other business ventures together, including partnerships in two hotels, a live music events production company, a sports energy drink and education funding.

CBRE Taps Stauduhar as Dir. of Project Management
The Atlanta branch of CB Richard Ellis Inc. hired Bill Stauduhar as director of project management. He will manage and train project managers and support the office, retail and industrial brokerage and the asset services and capital markets divisions.
Stauduhar’s background includes construction management and general contracting. He is the former senior regional director of Development for Marriott Vacation Club International and he’s currently a partner in a small real estate firm. Stauduhar spent 10 years at BECK and also worked with two international owner/developers where he helped develop a 550,000-square-foot industrial park and a 400,000-square-foot retail power center. His past clients include Nielsen Media Research, Allstate Insurance, Federated Department Stores, Mills Corp. and Highwoods Properties.

Former Richard E. Jacobs Group President, COO Passes Away

Martin J. Cleary, formerly the president and COO of Cleveland, OH-based mall development company Richard E. Jacobs Group, passed away at the age of 74 on Oct. 18. Cleary started his real estate career at age 18 working in the file room of TIAA-CREF and over the course of 28 years there, came to run the fund's mortgage and real estate investment division. In 1981, he was hired at The Jacobs Group, where he retired 20 years later.
Cleary served as a trustee of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) from 1980 to 1982 and as chairman of the organization from 1983 to 1984. He was also a part owner and vice president of the Cleveland Indians baseball team and served on the boards of the Guardian Life Insurance Co., the former Lamson & Sessions and CBL & Associates Properties.
