November 3, 2009
Massachusetts-based VTT Management bought Sawyer Towers in Columbus, OH, from the Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority for $2 million, or about $5,102 per unit. The buyer plans to convert the property from public housing to regular apartments.

The 325,000-square-foot, 392-unit complex on Caldwell Place consists of two residential towers connected by retail and office space. The complex was built in 1965 and underwent a series of capital improvements within the last six years.

Andre Dowdy of The Robert Weiler Co. represented the seller. The buyer did not have broker representation.
