Wilcoxon Shifting Maryland Operations to Frederick

Vibration and Sensing Equipment Manufacturer to Relocate Roughly 100 Employees from Germantown in Montgomery County to Riverside Tech Park
February 28, 2018
Wilcoxon Sensing Technologies, a supplier of high performance vibration monitoring and sensing solutions, has signed a lease to relocate its Maryland-based operations from Montgomery County to the Riverside Technology Park in Frederick.

The company will shift roughly 100 employees this fall from its current location at 20511 Seneca Meadows Pky. in Germantown to 45,120 square feet at 8435 Progress Dr., an 84,240-square-foot flex facility built in 2008 as part of the 44-acre Riverside Tech Park.

“The building itself satisfied every requirement to establish a vertically-integrated facility and, with its open floor plan and concrete slab flooring, can be easily configured to support office and light manufacturing operations," said Dr. Christopher McLean, president and general manager of Wilcoxon Sensing Technologies. "The high ceilings, dock doors, electrical service and generous parking provide exactly what we need for our manufacturing, assembly and testing requirements. In addition, the new location allows us to remain close to Washington, D.C. and three major airports.”

Ken Breen of Clagett Enterprises represented Wilcoxon in negotiations, while Danny Severn and Danny Foit of St. John Properties represented the landlord in-house.
