Whole Foods Coming to Closter Plaza

Organic Grocer Taking Former Stop & Shop Space

Whole Foods Market leased 41,000 square feet in the Closter Plaza shopping center at 33-117 VerValen St. in Closter, NJ.

The organic grocery chain plans to open in the former Stop & Shop location in six months. The new store is expected to create 250 new jobs.

Closter Plaza was constructed in 1963 and renovated in 1993. It totals 210,000 square feet and occupies roughly 17 acres in the Palisades submarket. Spectrum Properties owns the property, according to CoStar information.
