Weingarten Realty (NYSE:WRI
) is well underway on construction of its 312,000-square-foot Ridgeway Trace Shopping Center at the southeast corner of Poplar Ave and I-240 in Memphis, TN. Being built on the former site of the 450-unit Ridgeway Trace Apartments, a Target and three other un-named tenants will anchor the center.
The 130,000-square-foot Target is scheduled for completion first quarter 2009, while other retailer will start opening spring 2010. Weingarten has four other shopping centers in the Memphis area.
