Ware Malcomb Promotes Myers to Regional Vice President, Three More to Principals

Evernham to Lead Phoenix Office, Trefry Takes Chicago and DiRoma Designated Toronto Leader

Ware Malcomb, an award-winning international design firm, has promoted Tom Myers to regional vice president of the firm's Irvine, CA headquarters office. In addition, Ware Malcomb has promoted Kevin Evernham to principal of the firm’s Phoenix, AZ office, Cameron Trefry has been promoted to principal of the firm’s Chicago, IL office, and Frank DiRoma has been promoted to principal of the firm’s Toronto, Canada office.

Myers will continue to oversee Ware Malcomb’s commercial architecture group in addition to becoming the firm’s newest executive team member. Myers joined Ware Malcomb in 2004 as a director, commercial architecture in the Irvine office, and was promoted to principal in 2007. He oversees the commercial architecture group, the largest studio within Ware Malcomb, which incorporates office, industrial, retail, restaurant, hospitality, healthcare, science & technology, and government/public projects, as well as international projects in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. A licensed architect in the state of California, Myers brings a wealth of architectural knowledge and experience, leadership, business development, client management, recruiting and staff management experience. Myers is a LEED Accredited Professional and earned his bachelor of architecture degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He is a member of the board of directors for the Inland Empire chapter of NAIOP, and is also an active member of SIOR, ICSC and ACRE.

Evernham will be responsible for the overall growth and management of the firm’s business in Phoenix. Evernham joined Ware Malcomb’s Phoenix office in 2012 and took over the leadership of the office six months later as regional manager. In 2015 he was promoted to regional director, leading the growth and management of the Phoenix team. Throughout his career, Evernham has been the architect of record on over 1,000 projects across the U.S. for high-profile clients, including many Fortune 500 companies. His experience with multiple firms, as well as running his own firm for seven years, includes firm management, design direction, project management, marketing, code analysis and staff development. He has designed award-winning projects in the areas of office, retail, industrial, restaurant, high-tech, and multifamily projects. Evernham earned his bachelor's of architecture at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and his Masters of Architecture from Arizona State University. He is a registered architect in all 50 U.S. States, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.

Trefry will be responsible for the overall growth and management of the firm’s Chicago operations, in addition to overseeing all projects located within the Midwest. Trefry began his career at Ware Malcomb in the firm’s Denver office in 2005. The following year he relocated to Chicago, where he was promoted three times, most recently to regional director in 2014. Trefry has extensive experience in all facets of architecture and has worked on a wide variety of projects including industrial, warehouse, manufacturing, R&D, commercial office, medical, and corporate office. Trefry received his Bachelor of architecture degree in environmental design from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He is a LEED Accredited Professional and is an active member of NAIOP and SIOR. Trefry has spoken on architecture for a variety of industry groups including BOMA, NAIOP and more.

DiRoma leads Ware Malcomb’s growth and expansion in Canada. He is responsible for business development, client relationships, and overseeing all projects in the Canadian market. DiRoma joined Ware Malcomb in 2005 and relocated from California to Toronto in 2007. He stepped up to lead the Toronto office as regional manager in 2010, and was promoted to regional director in 2013. During that time, DiRoma has been the driving force of Ware Malcomb’s growth in the region. Under his leadership, Ware Malcomb’s Toronto office has designed a wide array of architecture and interior design projects in the areas of corporate and commercial office, industrial, retail, renovation, mixed-use, multi-family residential and auto dealerships. A licensed architect in Alberta and Ontario, DiRoma received his bachelor of architecture degree from the University of Ryerson in Toronto, as well as his Masters of Architecture degree from the University of Buffalo in New York. He is an active member of NAIOP and SIOR.
