The Brix at 26, a multifamily conversion of a former
office building at 2600 E. Carson St. in the south side of Pittsburgh, PA, is set to be ready for occupancy on February 1, with 20 percent of the residential units pre-leased.
The property is a 130,000-square-foot rental apartment building with retail on the ground floor and 87 one-bedroom residential units above. Jason Cannon with CBRE has the retail listing, with approximately 11,000 square feet coming available for small, store-front
retail space in the Pittsburgh Greater Downtown submarket.
The project started construction a year ago. The owner acquired the property in early 2010 from Goodwill Industries for approximately $6.5 million, according to CoStar data.
Editor's Note: The news story was updated to clarify that while the property is located in the Pittsburgh Greater Downtown submarket, it is not located in downtown Pittsburgh (CBD) but instead in an area known as the South Side.
