Tenants Filling Up Colorado Tower

Cousins Properties Signs Three New Leases in New Downtown Austin Building

Tenants have signed three new leases totaling 109,620 square feet at Cousins Properties' Colorado Tower at 303 Colorado St. in Austin, bringing the under construction office development to more than half-leased, with approximately 182,000 square feet still available.

Projected to be delivered December 2014, the 373,000-square-foot, Class-A office development will be the first high-rise tower built in Austin since Cousins developed Frost Bank Tower in 2003.

The most recent tenant commitments come from real estate investment advisor Hawkeye Partners, which leased 11,636 square feet and was represented by Jim Crouch, president of The Jim Crouch Co. Jeff Pace and Jake Ragusa with JLL represented Australian software company Atlassian in its lease for 24,141 square feet.
The largest of the recent leases was signed by Parsley Energy, which took 73,843 square feet and was represented by Will Douglas and Nathan Lawrence with CBRE and Jim Bell with Studley.

Cousins was represented on all deals by Rachel Coulter and Kevin Kimbrough with Oxford Commercial.

In addition to Colorado Tower, Atlanta-based Cousins has been quite active in the Austin market for many years. Its local projects include Frost Bank Tower, Palisades West, and its recent acquisition of 816 Congress.
