July 17, 2014
Colliers International, along with its parent company FirstService Corporation (NASDAQ: FSRV), has promoted Dylan Taylor, the former CEO | Americas, to Chief Operating Officer | Global. In his new position, Taylor will oversee the operations of more than 15,000 professionals in 485 offices across 63 countries, with a focus on integrating operations across all service lines and enhancing client engagement and cross-selling. He will continue to report directly to Douglas P. Fyre, president and CEO | Global.

FIRST TAKE: Taylor's Plans for FirstService

Taylor joined Colliers International in June 2009 as CEO | USA, increasing revenues and profits significantly during his tenure. In 2012, Taylor was named CEO | Americas, responsible for operations integration, leveraging best practices, and increasing collaboration and achieving efficiencies and scalability across the region. Taylor is credited with growing operations and developing systems to strengthening Colliers' global corporate services and capital markets business lines while expanding its asset and property management, valuation, and real estate advisory practices across the entire global platform.

"Dylan will not only be able to support the Americas in his new role, he will also facilitate growth and innovation throughout our global operations including the EMEA, Asia Pacific and Australia/New Zealand. There is no doubt that his leadership, vision and dedication to operational excellence has brought enormous value to our company," said Frye. "With leaders like Dylan, Colliers International is well positioned to continue to accelerate the success of our clients, partners and employees in the years to come."

Colliers Names New President to Lead US Business

The recipient of many industry honors, Taylor was recently named to the 2014 Class of Henry Crown Fellows by the Aspen Institute. He was also selected as a Delphi Fellow for "Big Think," a digital knowledge forum that brings together top thinkers to contribute ideas from their respective fields. Taylor is the only real estate industry professional to receive both honors. In addition, the World Economic Forum named him to its Top 45 list of Young Global Leaders.

Before joining Colliers, Taylor served as president of global client services for the former Grubb & Ellis, overseeing 15 business units comprised of 4,000 employees. Before that he served as senior vice president of corporate solutions for JLL, following seven years at SAIA Burgess, a Switzerland-based global supplier of electronics.

Taylor holds an MBA in finance and strategy from the University of Chicago, and graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in engineering from the University of Arizona.
