Kevin B. Swill has been appointed as chief operating officer at the Carlton Group. Filling a newly-created position at the firm, Swill will oversee day-to-day operations of the company as well as growing the firm's equity syndication business and Carlton's investment sales division.
Swill's real estate and capital markets experience includes acquisitions financing, recapitalization and disposition of more than 13,000 apartments while serving as president of Westminster Capital, a subsidiary of Kushner Companies, where he managed a staff of property managers responsible for more than four million square feet of commercial space. Before that he held positions at Merrill Lynch, CIBC, Deutsche Banc, and Citicorp/Citibank.
"Kevin will be an integral member of all of Carlton’s businesses given his deep experience and background real estate acumen," said Howard L. Michaels, chairman of Carlton Group.
Swill holds a bachelor's degree in finance and business administration from Muhlenberg College. He is also a member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), the National Multihousing Council (NMHC), the National Association of Industrial Office Properties (NAIOP) and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
