Deborah Stearns, a respected CRE leader who has been active in Virginia
commercial real estate for 30 years, recently joined the Jones Lang LaSalle team in Hampton Roads as senior vice president. She had been a senior vice president at Harvey Lindsay Commercial Real Estate.
Her experience as a broker and executive includes office property sales and leasing, development, mergers and acquisitions and operational management.
Stearns served as the president of Virginia and Washington DC at Advantis Real Estate Services Company. She has been vice chairwoman and a member of the board of commissioners at the Virginia Port Authority since March 2009 and since July 2002 respectively.
Stearns joined Harvey Lindsay in August 2009 after the closing of GVA Advantis, where she served as executive director of GVA’s Norfolk office. In that role, she was in charge of management and business development for the Hampton Roads region. Her involvement with the firm dates back to its heyday as Goodman Segar Hogan, a Norfolk-based brokerage firm.
The move to JLL will reunite Stearns with several former colleagues from GVA Advantis who departed GVA after it closed in 2009 and opened the JLL office, including Charlie Polk, who heads the firm's Richmond/Hampton Roads operations.
