The Simons Foundation signed a 61,370-square-foot lease at 160 Fifth Ave. in New York. The organization, which provides funding for math and physics research, will occupy floors six through nine.
The 10-story, 158,300-square-foot office building was built in 1892 and renovated in 2009. It is in the Chelsea submarket.
The Simons Foundation is relocating from 101 Fifth Ave. in first quarter 2010.
The Cushman & Wakefield team of Alexander Chudnoff, Haley Klein and Justine Javier-Borja represented the tenant, as well as the landlord, RFR Realty LLC. Oliver Katcher with RFR Realty also provided representation for both parties.
