Phoenix Realty Group, a national real estate owner, operator and fund manager, has hired R. Alex Saunders and Leslie Stephens to its Los Angeles office. The pair will fill the roles of managing director and assistant vice president, respectively.
Saunders will be responsible for directing the firm’s acquisitions group in the western region. Saunders currently holds the position of an adjunct professor in the MRED program at the University of Southern California, but was one of the original co-founders of the LA office in 2003.
He has closed north of 35 transactions totaling $250 million of equity and more than $800 million in real estate. He graduated in 1995 from UC Irvine and earned a Master’s Degree in real estate development from USC in 2003.
Stephens will be involved with the firm’s western region asset management group. Stephens has been involved in asset management for over 17 years with a focus on operational issues and value added-renovations to investment properties in the western region.
She previously served as regional manager for Prime Group, Los Angeles, district manager of Nicolosi & Fitch (Tucson, AZ) and asset manager at Sun America (Los Angeles). She is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management and a Certified Property Manager (CPM) candidate.
