Full-service regional company SCM Real Estate Services has become an affiliate of New York-based Coldwell Banker Commercial Alliance and will now operate as Coldwell Banker Alliance DFW, the fifth such commercial real estate
alliance formed by Coldwell Banker.
SCM's headquarters will remain in Arlington, TX, with future expansion set to take place in Dallas and Fort Worth in 2014.
Coldwell Banker Commercial Alliance is a national commercial real estate brokerage company which focuses on private investors and small to mid-cap businesses. Launched in 2012 by New York-based Waterfall Asset Management, Coldwell Banker Commercial Alliance has since opened offices in Denver, Orange County, Los Angeles and in the near future, Dallas/Fort Worth.
Gary Walker, founder and president of SCM, will serve as managing principal of Coldwell Banker Commercial Alliance DFW. Theron Bryant, a top producer and principal of SCM, will head up the Fort Worth office as a market director and is currently in the process of securing office space
. Carol Sosebee, also a principal of SCM and board member of CREW Dallas, remains chief operating officer and director of property management. In all, Coldwell Banker Commercial Alliance DFW employs 30 commercial real estate professionals and support staff.
Walker states that the 21-year-old firm, which to date has closed more than $100 million of acquisitions and dispositions and leased in excess of 9.8 million square feet for clients, had been actively seeking expansion opportunities.
In addition to his role as president of SCM, Walker serves as a managing partner of SkyWalker Property Partners and is a managing member of the $100 million Hangover Opportunity Fund LLC, an investment vehicle with commercial real estate holdings in Texas and surrounding states.
