Trade Street Residential, Inc. (Nasdaq: TSRE
), an owner and operator of apartment communities across the southeastern US, has appointed Richard H. Ross, CPA as its chief financial officer.
Richard Ross is the founder of Chiron Consulting, an independent financial and operations advisory firm. Before that he worked as CFO for 13 years at Branch Properties, a private real estate investment firm focusing on the development of multifamily communities. Ross is a certified public accountant and a certified financial planner.
"Richard adds significant financial acumen and experience to our executive team. We believe Richard's analytical skills, financial reporting knowledge and overall excellent business sense are key components to our ability to execute our growth strategy in the coming years," said Michael Baumann, chairman and CEO of Trade Street Residential.
Ross is replacing Bert Lopez, who has stepped down as the company's CFO, but will stay on as its chief operating officer and chief compliance officer. In other company news, the firm's board of directors announced a $0.095 per share dividend on its common stock for the third quarter 2013.
