The Resmark Cos. appointed Jeffrey C. Herrmann as chief financial officer. With more than 15 years of experience in real estate accounting and finance, Herrmann will oversee the company’s finance, accounting and treasury departments and play an active role in its many investment programs and long-range strategic planning.
“Resmark is a successful real estate investment firm that is rapidly expanding its portfolio of multifamily developments as well as its long-term core business of single-family properties. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a group of respected professionals and be involved in a growing business,” said Herrmann.
Hermann, who is also a C.P.A, has a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He began his career at Ernst & Young in the real estate group performing audit, tax and consulting assignments for homebuilders, land developers and other real estate businesses.
Through the years he has been in several finance and accounting-related executive positions. In 2000 he joined John Laing Homes as the vice president of corporate development, where he was responsible for expanding the company into new markets and opportunities. Before Resmark, he was a vice president at EJL Homes, a successor company to John Laing Homes. At EJL, he was actively involved in all current projects and in identifying new housing development opportunities along with managing the accounting and finance functions.
“Jeff is an accomplished professional whose knowledge of all aspects of real estate from due diligence to acquisition and development makes him an ideal addition to our team,” said Rob Goodman, chairman and CEO of Resmark. “He has vast and broad experience with residential projects, both for-sale and multifamily, which are both keystones in Resmark’s investment strategy.”
