New Boston Fund’s Kirk Sykes has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Real Estate Executive Council (REEC), an association formed to promote minority executives in the commercial real estate
Sykes will succeed Quintin Primo III, who served as Chairman since the inception in 2003. Sykes was previously the Vice Chairman for the past three years.
In addition to his role with the REEC, Sykes serves as the Co-Chair for the Urban Land Institute Responsible Property Investment Council and as a member of the New England Executive Committee.
Sykes is also on the advisory board for Northeastern University’s School of Urban and Public Policy, The Rappaport Institute of Public Policy at Suffolk School of Law and the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City.
Sykes attended the Harvard University Business School, Owner and Presidents Management Program, the MIT Center for Real Estate Development, Commercial Development Executive Program and the L'Ecole Polytechnique in Paris, France. He earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University.
