QTS Realty Trust Acquires Fort Worth Data Center from Health Care Service Corp.

53-Acre Data Center Campus Purchased in Dallas Expansion
February 7, 2017
QTS Realty Trust (NYSE: QTS), an Overland Park, KS-based international provider of data center, managed hosting and cloud services, acquired Health Care Service Corp.'s (HCSC) 260,000-square-foot data center at 14100 Park Vista Blvd. in Fort Worth, TX for $50 million, or approximately $192 per square foot.

The complex features 40,000 square feet of raised floor space, and is large enough to sustain up to 80,000 square feet. In total, the undeveloped acreage included in the deal would allow for further expansion- up to 300,000 square feet of raised floor space.

QTS' second mega data center acquisition in the market will continue to be anchored by HCSC.

"Our success in one of the nation's largest Tier 1 markets is a testament to the value our customers are seeing in our fully integrated platform," said Chad Williams, Chairman and CEO - QTS. "We are excited about our ability to quickly expand and meet the growing needs of current and new customers in another state-of-the-art facility."
