Port Logistics Realty Makes First Foray Into Atlanta with Development of 2.6 Million-SF Palmetto Logistics Park

Dallas Firm Breaks Ground on First Phase of 213-Acre Project in South Fulton County
April 17, 2017
Port Logistics Realty (PLR) is set to make its debut in Atlanta after the Dallas-based industrial real estate investment platform disclosed its first project in the market would be a 2.6 million-square-foot, multi-phase industrial campus in Fairburn, GA named Palmetto Logistics Park.

PLR has already kicked off construction on the first phase of the project - a 1.1 million-square-foot industrial complex that will be expandable to up to 1.3 million and is slated to deliver this winter. Phase I will also include park infrastructure.

Both phase one as well as phase two, a 1.3 million-square-foot facility, have been designed to attract e-commerce users through the integration of innovative design elements, state-of-the art technology, and modern amenities.

“Palmetto Logistics Park offers an excellent logistics advantage for companies looking to meet consumers’ needs across the Southeast and answers the demand for modern industrial warehouses shaping the Atlanta market,” said Rob Huthnance, president of PLR Development. “We believe that e-commerce will continue to be a driving factor for growth and plan to seek additional opportunities in the market.”

Palmetto Logistics Park is being developed in tandem with Atlanta-based River Oaks Capital Partners on a 213-acre site near the CSX/BNSF Intermodal facility and I-85, and just 12 miles southwest of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in South Fulton County. Colliers International has been selected to handle leasing at the park on behalf of ownership.
