Payless ShoeSource's parent company, Collective Brands Inc., will expand its Brookville, OH, distribution facility by 200,000 square feet and add 100 extra employees.
The new 200,000-square-foot space will support another Collective Brands subsidiary, Stride Rite, and its 300 stores and wholesale sellers.
The existing distribution center is at 1 Payless Way in the Northbrook Industrial Park. It is in the North Dayton Industrial submarket. The original 600,000-square-foot Collective Brands Eastern Distribution Center will continue to handle Payless distribution products.
Clayco Construction Group is the developer for the existing facility and will handle the 200,000-square-foot expansion. The project is set to deliver next spring.
