Opus Development Corporation will open an office in St. Louis, MO to capitalize on renewed activity in the market.
The firm has brought on Joe Downs as senior director of real estate development. In his new role he will be responsible for leading the charge for new business opportunities across all commercial property types and sectors including higher education and government.

Downs joins the group from The Love Companies where he served as vice president and was responsible for real estate development, investment and management for clients including Limestone Real Estate Investment Fund and Heartland Bank. Before that he was at Opus Northwest working on the design-build side of the business in the Minneapolis and St. Louis markets.
A LEED accredited professional, Downs received his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Marquette University and his MBA from the University of St. Thomas.
