Newmark Adds to Valuation/Advisory Practice with New Teams, Hires in NYC and Florida

Moves Bolster NKF's Growing Practice in Tri-State Area, Hospitality and Gaming Sector
May 15, 2018
Newmark Knight Frank (NKF) has announced the addition of two new valuation and advisory teams based in New York City and the Florida markets of Boca Raton and Miami.

The newly formed Tri-State team includes industry veterans Matt Victor, Joe Ferranti and Jeff Mayer. Victor, a senior managing director, will lead the tri-state multihousing team and will work together with Senior Managing Directors Ray Cirz and Matt Krauser to focus on the practice’s suburban tri-state markets.

Mayer will lead the Northeast hospitality team while Joe Ferranti will focus on commercial valuations in New York City. Both are based out of New York City. The new team also features one of the most successful and longest-running litigation support and arbitration practices, led by prominent appraiser Robert Von Ancken.

John Busi and Helene Jacobson have headed Newmark’s tri-state business since they began leading the valuation and advisory as president and executive managing director, respectively, in early 2017. The tri-state expansion follows the expansion of teams covering the office, retail and multifamily segments led by industry veterans Doug Larson and Wendy Hwang.

Newmark also announced the hiring of senior executives in Florida to lead a new hospitality, gaming and leisure practice within the valuation and advisory group. David S. Gray, will serve as executive vice president, along with executive vice president Edy Gross and analyst Ryan Maker. Gray and Maker will be based in the Boca Raton office while Gross will be in the Miami office.

Gray and Gross, with support from Maker, will be responsible for assignments in the Southeastern U.S. and the Caribbean. The group will focus exclusively on providing valuation and consulting services for a broad range of hotels, casinos and leisure properties.

The appointments follows a series of recent top-level hires that have expanded NKF’s valuation and advisory practice across the country. The hospitality, gaming and leisure segment is headed by NKF executive vice president Bryan Younge.
