The New York Genome Center, a biotech company, signed a 20-year lease for 175,692 square feet at 101 Avenue of the Americas in New York, NY.
The 23-story, 426,791-square-foot, class A
office building was constructed in 1991 in the Hudson Square submarket between Grand and Watts Streets. The newly-renovated building is LEED Silver certified and will include a tenant-accessible Green Roof on the seventh floor.
The 20-year lease includes the entire second through seventh floors, and a portion of the ground floor.
Mitchell Konsker, Paul Glickman, Matthew Astrachan and Jonathan Fanuzzi of Jones Lang LaSalle represented the landlord, Edward J. Minskoff Equities, Inc., along with in-house representative, executive vice president Jeffrey Sussman. Bill Harvey of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented the New York Genome Center in lease negotiations.
