In a mutual agreement with the Mack-Cali board of directors, Barry Lefkowitz, executive vice president and chief financial officer, and Roger W. Thomas, executive vice president, general counsel and secretary, have both agreed to resign from their respective positions effective March 31.
Jonathan Litt has been appointed to the Mack-Cali board of directors, effective immediately, as a Class I director.
Litt brings more than 22 years of experience as a global real estate strategist and investor. He is the founder and chief investment officer of Land & Buildings Investment Management LLC, a registered investment firm specializing in publically traded real estate and real estate securities.
With the addition of Litt, the board of directors at Mack-Cali is now comprised of 11 directors, of which 8 are independent. In conjunction with Litt’s appointment, Land & Buildings Investment Management LLC has also entered into an agreement with Mack-Cali that is comprised of customary standstill and voting covenants by the company and its affiliates.
