As the company pivots back to full buyer mode, New York City-based real estate investment company Monday Properties shored up its acquisitions team with the addition of Wes Machowsky as a senior vice president.

Based in the firm's Rosslyn, VA office, Wachowsky will identify and close on new investment opportunities, as well as strategize value-add initiatives for existing properties and source capital from investment partners.

The 16-year commercial real estate veteran joins Monday Properties after four years with Transwestern, where he was involved in more than $4 billion of capital market transactions as managing director of the firm's Mid-Atlantic capital markets group.

Preceding Transwestern, Machowsky spent nine years as a tenant and landlord leasing broker with Cushman & Wakefield and Newmark Grubb Knight Frank. He also worked at Penzance for nearly four years in a role that saw him handle leasing and acquisitions for the company’s two million-square-foot Mid-Atlantic office portfolio.

Machowsky is a member of The Urban Land Institute (ULI) and The District of Columbia Building Industry Association (DCBIA). He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and psychology and Master's Degree in real estate investment from Georgetown University.
