Former RREEF Exec Returns To Direct Multifamily Sales as Senior Managing Director

CBRE Group is bringing in a veteran multifamily sales specialist to divide overall responsibilities for its Multi-Housing Group.
Brian McAuliffe has rejoined the firm from RREEF as senior managing director. At RREEF, McAuliffe oversaw acquisitions, dispositions and capital markets-related activities as a managing director in the firm’s Transactions Group. He also served as a chair of RREEF’s Investment Committee.
In his new role, which becomes effective January 7, 2013, McAuliffe will focus on the company’s multi-housing investment sales practice. Peter Donovan, also senior managing director of CBRE's Multi-Housing Group, will primarily focus on the group’s financing practice, including the firm's HUD/FHA, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac business. In the last 12 months, CBRE reported its multifamily housing capital markets practice completed $22.6 billion in investment and financing transactions.
McAuliffe, based in Chicago, and Donovan, based in Boston, will both report to Chris Ludeman, president of CBRE Capital Markets.
Prior to joining RREEF, McAuliffe spent more than two decades with CBRE, from 1983 to 2005, where he epresented institutional investors and public companies in multi-housing property transactions totaling approximately $4 billion.
