Marshall's Signs For 28,295 SF At National Press Building

Will Occupy Former Filene's Basement Space

Retail department chain Marshall's (of TJX Cos.) inked a lease deal to occupy Filene's former space at the National Press Building in Northwest Washington, DC.

The property, with an address of 529 14th Street, is situated on the corner of F Street and 14th Street in the East End submarket. It totals approximately 490,000 square feet on slightly more than one acre.

The National Press Building houses the National Press Club, a private association for journalists and communications professionals that has been a Washington institution for more than a century.

Other tenants include The Department of State, Department of Treasury, and McFadden & Associates, according to CoStar information.

Jared Meier, Jeff Pollak, and Andrew Poncher of Streetsense represented ownership, Quadrangle Development and AEW Capital Management. Steve Combs and Michael Patz of KLNB Retail represented TJX Cos.
