Longtime Marcus & Millichap Exec Bill Rose Returning to Dealmaker Roots

Takes New Role as Senior Managing Director with IPA Division in San Diego
February 6, 2018
Bill Rose, who served in a number of senior executive roles for Marcus & Millichap over the past 14 years, most recently as National Director of Retail for the Calabasas, CA-based firm and its Institutional Property Advisors (IPA) division, is returning to brokerage as senior managing director with IPA in San Diego.

In his new role, Rose will focus on the sale, financing and joint venture structure of institutional-quality West Coast shopping centers.

"After several years in management with the company, Bill has made the decision to return to his roots as an advisor/broker working closely with institutional and major private investors," announced Alan Pontius, national director of Marcus & Millichap’s specialty divisions.

Rose joined Marcus & Millichap in 2003 after previously serving as a managing director at HFF where he was active in debt origination, structured finance and investment sales. Before that, he spent 13 years at TrizecHahn as director of development leasing and management. Rose is credited with closing more than $3 billion in real estate transactions over the course of his career.

Rose is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), having served as its Western Division Operations Chair, past-California State Director, Western Conference Chair, and earning the Certified Retail Property Executive designation in 2013. He also is a member of the Urban Land Institute and serves on the University of Colorado Real Estate Advisory Board.
