Jones Lang LaSalle expanded its retail initiative with the hiring of David Thomas in downtown Los Angeles and Bryan Cunningham in San Diego. The new vice presidents will work in retail brokerage as JLL continues to increase its focus and resources on retail tenant solutions (RTS) to provide tenant representation in additional to its traditional focus on landlord representation.
Thomas' previous position was as a senior vice president at a major retail real estate firm where he worked with landlords and tenants on lease negotiations, business plans, market research and strategic analysis. During his career, he has led leasing efforts for more than 4 million square feet of new developments with a total value of $600 million. Thomas is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
Since January 2010, Cunningham has completed more than 150 transactions, with a combined total consideration of approximately $100 million. CoStar named him a Power Broker in 2010 and 2011.
"Jones Lang LaSalle is making a concerted effort to provide broader and more locally based retail resources in Southern California and throughout select U.S. markets, said JLL West Coast Retail Market Lead Craig Killman. "David and Bryan’s expertise in marketing, development and management will enable us to provide quality merchandising solutions for current and future retail clients."
