JLL expanded its presence in East Bay with the appointment of two senior vice presidents in its Walnut Creek office.
A former managing director with Cassidy Turley, Tony Beatty has spent 28 years in the commercial real estate
industry with a concentration on the sale and leasing of urban industrial and office space. He has been involved in more than 50 million square feet of transactions totaling more than $1.5 billion. Past clients have included IKEA, Pixar/Disney, Ryerson Steel, Bay Area Beverage, Aetna Realty Advisors, Sun Micro Systems and Costco.
Beatty is a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) and was the past president of the East Bay Brokers Association.
Jim Peterson comes to JLL from Newmark Cornish & Carey, where he served as a senior vice president and principal. In his career, Peterson has represented corporate office users as well as local and institutional owners in more than eight million square feet of transactions in greater Contra Costa and northern Alameda Counties.
Peterson has been involved in a number of profile transactions, including representing LAM Research in its acquisition of KLA Tencor’s former 240,000-square-foot campus; Cisco Systems in the sale of more than 325,000 square feet to State Compensation Insurance Fund; and Wells Real Estate Funds in the sale of the 200,000-square-foot Emerald Point 1 office building
in Dublin, CA to Ross Dress For Less for its corporate headquarters. Additional deals include 25 acres sold to a local developer for the development of individual buildings for sale
and Shea Properties’ recent 45-acre land sale to Sutter Hospital.
