JLL Latest to Poach Transwestern RBJ for Talent, Hires Lipscomb as EVP

Mass Exodus Continues in Light of Transwestern RBJ's Expected Sale to CBRE
February 21, 2018
Jamey Lipscomb has accepted an executive vice president position with JLL, continuing a string of defections from Transwestern RBJ as the firm eyes the sale of its remaining talent to CBRE, according to a report from Bisnow.

A former partner with Transwestern RBJ who spent the last 15 years with the firm, Lipscomb will primarily focus on representing tenants and investors in leasing industrial, office and R&D space within the Greater Boston region for JLL's suburban team.

At Transwestern RBJ, Lipscomb brokered more than 500 sales and lease transactions totaling more than eight million square feet in the north and western suburbs of Boston. Past clients include Puma North America, Mercury Systems, Divco West, Campanelli, Boston Properties and Piedmont Office Realty Trust.

Lipscomb follows suit behind fellow former Transwestern RBJ partners Michael Joyce and Robert B. Richards, who both left the firm within the last month to join Cushman & Wakefield as vice chairmen.

Last week, Thomas Ashe and Robert Byrne also joined Cushman & Wakefield from Transwestern RBJ to work as an executive director and managing director, respectively.

Today, Bisnow reported that CBRE is nearing a deal to acquire the rest of Transwestern RBJ's remaining talent, though the sale would not be a complete merger, according to the report. That deal is said to be imminent.
