HFF Bolsters Debt Placement Division in D.C.

Four New Directors to Specialize in Debt and Equity Placement Origination in Mid-Atlantic Region

HFF expanded its debt placement team in the firm's Washington, D.C. office with three outside hires and one promotion.

HFF brought in former Walker & Dunlop executive Dan Martin to serve as its new managing director. The 20-year industry veteran spent 17 years at GE Capital Real Estate before leaving the firm in 2015 to work as a senior vice president in Walker & Dunlop's mortgage banking group.

Martin is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association and the National Association of Office & Industrial Properties. He graduated from the University of Maryland and earned his MBA from George Mason University.

Chris Hew and Jamie Leachman join HFF as senior directors. Hew also joins the firm from Walker & Dunlop after leaving GE Capital Real Estate, while Leachman most recently worked at Newmark Knight Frank as a managing director.

Hew brings more than 12 years of commercial real estate finance experience and holds a bachelor's degree from Southern Connecticut State University and a Master's Degree in real estate from Johns Hopkins. Leachman, a 13-year industry veteran who also served as a partner on CBRE's debt and structured finance team, earned his bachelor's degree and MBA from the University of Virginia.

Earning a promotion to director is Nicole Brickhouse, who joined HFF in 2103 after serving as a sustainability project manager at Cassidy Turley. She is an active member of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW), National Association of Industrial and Office Properties and is a committee member for Real Estate Emerging Leaders. Brickhouse earned her bachelor's degree from American University and holds a Masters of Real Estate from Georgetown University.

The four new directors will specialize in debt and equity placement origination in the Mid-Atlantic with Leachman and Brickhouse focusing on multi-housing and agency transactions.
