Greysteel Capital Markets, a real estate finance firm based in Washington, D.C., tapped Mark Bittenbender as its director.
Greysteel brought Bittenbender into the fold to provide financing and advisory assistance to private capital and middle-market multifamily, retail, and single tenant assets.
Bittenbender has spent the last decade working with diversified real estate investment and capital markets, most notably as a senior vice president of finance and investments with Manassas, VA-based Thurston Cos. He also spent time as director of asset management at Springfield Financial Co., a $300 million Washington, D.C. area private equity real estate bridge fund.
Bittenbender broke into the industry as an investment associate at Marcus & Millichap, where he was responsible for sourcing, structuring, and executing more than $150 million in financings and investment sales transactions of single tenant restaurant properties nationwide.
Bittenbender received a bachelor's degree from John Carroll University and a master's degree in real estate finance from Georgetown University.
