Goldpoint Partners is heading uptown next year, having selected 299 Park Ave. as its new headquarters location.

A subsidiary of New York Life Insurance Company, Goldpoint has signed a 15-year lease for 29,678 square feet on the 37th floor of the 1.17-million-square-foot, Plaza District tower.

Currently based in the Gramercy Park neighborhood at 51 Madison Ave., Goldpoint plans to relocate to 299 Park during the second quarter of 2019, according to landlord Fisher Brothers. Fisher is preparing to begin $20 million in capital improvements work on the building this year. David Rockwell of the Rockwell Group is leading the redesign of 299 Park Ave., which was designed by Emery Roth & Sons and unveiled in 1967. It was last renovated in 2010.

Also known as the UBS Building after its anchor tenant, 299 Park Ave. has been a magnet for financial services firm. Within the past eight months, Bank of Kuwait, B. Riley and Traxys have all inked deals for space at the 42-story building. Capital One, AlpInvest US Holdings and American Securities also maintain large blocks of space at the Emery Roth-designed property.

FOR THE RECORD: GoldPoint Partners has $12.7 million in private equity assets under management and is also an affiliate of New York Life Investment Management. The firm was represented by Cushman & Wakefield’s Richard Bernstein, Steve Braun and Christine Colley. Newmark Knight Frank’s Andrew Sachs and Pete Shimkim worked with Marc Packman and Clark Briffel in-house to represent Fisher Brothers.
