Transwestern’s Bethesda office hired Joe Friedman and Julian Etches as managing directors of capital markets, serving the firm’s institutional clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
The two professionals most recently served as principals in the capital markets group at Avison Young. In 2011, Friedman founded the capital markets platform at McShea & Co., which was acquired last year by Avison Young. He has more than 10 years of capital markets experience in the Washington, D.C./Baltimore area, including a prior stretch at Transwestern.
Etches joined McShea in 2008, when he was tasked with opening a new office for the firm in Washington County, Md., a new jurisdiction for both McShea and Etches. In the next four years, the platform produced more than $20 million worth of leasing transactions and more than $75 million in sales transactions.
