FTI Consulting, a Baltimore-based business and economic consulting firm, leased 91,265 square feet at the Franklin Center office complex in Chicago's West Loop, where it plans to consolidate its local offices.
The lease commences in July 2010. FTI will occupy the entire ninth floor of the USG Building at 222 W. Adams St., as well as the entire ninth floor and part of the 10th floor in the AT&T Corporate Center at 227 W. Monroe St. The firm has an option to take the remaining 17,000 square feet on the 10th floor of AT&T Corporate Center at a later date.
The USG Building has 35 stories and 920,888 square feet, while AT&T Corporate Center -- a prominent landmark in Chicago's skyline -- has 60 stories and 1.57 million square feet. The buildings share a block-long lobby, creating the second largest Class A office property in Chicago, trailing only the Sears Tower.
Both buildings still have several blocks of space currently available for lease. Additionally, FTI's move will leave large vacancies at 333 W. Wacker and 33 N. LaSalle, the two towers from which the firm is relocating.
Ellen May, senior director, and Victoria Noonan, managing director, of Tishman Speyer represented the building owner, an Australian investment fund managed by Tishman Speyer Properties. David Findling and Sam Murik with Cushman & Wakefield in Chicago represented the tenant.
