D.R. Horton Shifts Mid-Atlantic Office to Annapolis

Homebuilding Company Agrees to 14,600-SF Lease Within Annapolis Corporate Park
February 2, 2018
One of the largest residential homebuilding companies in the U.S. has signed a deal to shift its Mid-Atlantic division regional offices from McLean, VA to the Annapolis Corporate Park in Annapolis, MD.

D.R. Horton, of Fort Worth, TX, agreed to a 14,600-square-foot lease at 181 Harry S. Truman Pky., a 63,668-square-foot, two-story, LEED Gold office building now home to 95 D.R. Horton employees.

“Over the past three years, our homebuilding activity in this region has shifted to a greater prevalence in the Maryland suburbs,” said Kevin McDonald, capital division chief CFO for D.R. Horton. “From a logistical and efficiency perspective, we made the decision to relocate our complete operations, encompassing administration, sales, marketing, purchasing and construction to an area within close proximity to our active communities throughout the metropolitan DC area."

Stephanie Caronna and Rick Williamson of St. John Properties handle leasing at the building.
