Cvent, Inc., a cloud-based enterprise event management company, expanded its global headquarters at the 642,046-square-foot Boro Station office complex in Tysons Corner, VA, with a 72,000-square-foot lease.

With this lease expansion, the event tech firm will now occupy a total of 140,000 square feet across 10 floors in the three-building campus. This expansion aligns with Cvent’s plan to add more than 1,000 jobs worldwide.

The Meridian Group, which sold a 95 percent stake in Boro Station to MetLife last month for $244 million, has invested $60 million in renovations to Boro Station since acquiring the complex from SAIC in 2013. Renovations included updates to the common areas, lobbies, fitness center and a new entrance for riders entering from the Greensboro Silver Line Metro station.

Cvent first took occupancy in Boro Station in late 2014, relocating its headquarters in part of incentive program by the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority, the Virginia Economic Development Partnership and the Virginia Department of Business Assistance.

Boro Station is part of The Boro, a mixed-use master-planned development by Meridian and Kettler that at full build-out will boast 4.2 million square feet of office, retail, entertainment and open park space.

Terry Reiley of CBRE represented the ownership in the deal. Dale Powell at Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant.
