Allyson Petty, a long-time broker and asset manager of Blackwood Development Co., joined the retail services group at Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer as a senior associate and brought Blackwood's retail portfolio - consisting of approximately two million square feet of constructed and proposed retail centers in Richmond - with her.
The former Blackwood retail portfolio includes Gleneagles Shopping Center, Pouncey Place, Harper’s Mill, Promenade Shops, Midlothian Town Center, Southshore Shops, and NorthCross Center.
Prior to her work at Blackwood, Petty served as a senior associate with Grubb & Ellis | Harrison & Bates and as a retail associate with The Shopping Center Group. She is a graduate of James Madison University.
Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer already has a dominant stake in Richmond’s retail scene. The retail team has a portfolio nearing seven million square feet in the Richmond market, according to CoStar records.
The merging of Blackwood Development Co.’s retail portfolio with Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer represents another positive step forward for the latter. Recently, the firm announced the leasing rights of two upcoming shopping center developments. Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer will have exclusive leasing responsibilities for the West Broad Marketplace and Stonehenge Village, both bringing national tenants to the Richmond market.
