Cushman & Wakefield Selects Stanford to Lead Baltimore Office

New Managing Principal to Succeed David Gillece
January 17, 2018
Cushman & Wakefield has selected Peter Stanford, CCIM to head up its Baltimore office as managing principal.

Stanford is a 25-year commercial real estate industry veteran who joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2015 to spearhead its global occupier services group as senior managing director.

A former senior managing director and principal with Cassidy Turley, Stanford has represented clients across the EMEA, Asia-Pacific and the Americas, and has also served as director of Cushman & Wakefield’s Baltimore asset services team, which manages 17 million square feet of commercial space.

Stanford will succeed David Gillece, who has managed the firm's Baltimore operations for the last 14 years. Located at 1 E. Pratt St., Cushman & Wakefield's downtown Baltimore office is home to more than 140 employees, and last year completed more than $2.1 billion in transaction volume.

“Pete is the natural choice to lead the organization into the next decade,” Gillece said. “He combines unique experience as a global real estate solutions expert and a practical leader respected by our entire team.”

Gillece noted that he will return to his roots, focusing on client-facing activities.

Stanford is a past president of BOMA Baltimore, a past board member of Opportunity Builders and a board member of the World Trade Center Institute of Baltimore. He is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and holds a Master's Degree in finance from The George Washington University.
