The Boston office of Cushman & Wakefield promoted four professionals on its metrowest and south suburban brokerage teams. J.R. McDonald (pictured, left) and Michael Frisoli (right) were named executive vice presidents, Stephen Woelfel was appointed director and Peter Whoriskey was tapped as a senior associate.
“Each of these deserving individuals has delivered the most creative and innovative services on a consistent basis, adding meaningful value for our clients. In addition, they have dedicated themselves as mentors to younger professionals and participated and led charitable organizations and events,” said Thomas L. Collins, executive managing director of the firm’s New England region.
McDonald joined the company 13 years ago, most recently serving as an executive director. He co-leads the two brokerage teams with Frisoli. During his tenure with the firm, McDonald has been involved in the sale or lease of more than 30 million square feet of commercial properties. He is recognized as a top industrial producer at the company and holds leadership positions on two national C&W committees.
Frisoli, who formerly served as executive director, joined C&W in 2010. The 20-year
commercial real estate veteran previously served as president and founder of Winrock Partners, was a co-founding partner of Richards Barry Joyce and also served as a senior vice president at Fallon Hines & O’Connor. He has leased or sold more than 20 million square feet of space and has been involved in many of the largest
commercial lease and sale deals throughout Greater Boston.
Woelfel joined the company nine years ago and most recently served as an associate director. He has been involved in the sale or lease of more than 10 million square feet and represents tenants and landlords in the lease and sale of commercial property. His list of clients includes Pall Corp., Akibia, Petco, UBS Financial Services, New York Life and RREEF.
Whorisky was hired in 2011 as an associate. He advises both tenants and landlords and his clients include GMCR, Colony Realty Partners, Synergy Investments, Real Estate Capital Partners, KS Partners and Aegean Capital.
C&W’s metro west and south suburban teams’ top deals of 2012 include Green Mountain Coffee Roaster’s 424,000-square-foot lease/build-to-suit project in Burlington, one of the largest leases in the suburban region, and the sale of the 716,000-square-foot Corporate Crossing at 495 office campus in Marlborough, which was co-brokered with the capital markets group.
