Michelle Comerford has joined Biggins Lacy Shapiro & Company (BLS & Co) LLC as project director and industrial & supply chain practice leader. In her new role, Comerford will advise clients on location decisions and incentive strategies with a focus on the manufacturing and distribution sectors.
Comerford previously served as managing director for Austin Consulting, the site-selection practice group for the U.S. subsidiary of Japanese construction conglomerate Kajima. Her client list includes Avon, Bimbo Bakeries, Colgate Palmolive, Celebration Foods and Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.
"Michelle’s deep expertise in the areas of supply chain logistics and advanced manufacturing will further expand our firm’s site selection capabilities. Comerford received her bachelor's degree in business administration with a double major in logistics and marketing from John Carroll University in Cleveland, OH. She currently serves on the board of directors and as secretary for the Site Selectors Guild, and was recognized in 2012 as one of Crain's Cleveland Top Forty Under 40. She is a sought-after speaker and author of articles in the survey, site selection, development, and incentives negotiation practice areas.
