Colliers Expands Operations to Spartanburg

Montgomery Appointed as VP in New SC Office
February 1, 2018
Colliers International | South Carolina will open a new office in Spartanburg, SC and has hired John Montgomery as a vice president. Montgomery will partner with Garrett Scott and Brockton Hall to operate the new office.

The Spartanburg location will be the fourth Colliers office in South Carolina, along with the Greenville, Columbia and Charleston offices. John W. Folsom, president and CEO of Colliers International | South Carolina, noted the Spartanburg expansion was in part of the company’s strategy to accommodate its expanding client base.

Before joining Colliers, Montgomery previously served as CEO of Durham, NC-based Montgomery Development. Prior to working at Montgomery, he served as vice president of real estate for Pacolet Milliken Enterprises, Inc. Montgomery has overseen and developed thousands of acres of real estate and economic development projects worth more than $1 billion, including Toray Carbon Fibers, Ritrama and Magna Seating. His most recent project includes the redevelopment of Drayton Mills, a master-planned community in Spartanburg.

The newly appointed vice president served on the Board of Trustees for Converse College and on the Board of Directors for a variety of organizations within the market, including the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Upstate and the University of South Carolina Upstate Foundation Board.
