John Garvalia has joined Cohen Brothers Realty Corporation as senior vice president of design center leasing. In his new role, Garvalia will oversee leasing activities for the firm's design center portfolio, which includes properties in West Hollywood, CA; Houston, TX; and Dania Beach, FL.
Prior to joining Cohen Brothers, Garvalia served as vice president at Miromar Development Corporation, where he leased and managed the Miromar Design Center in Estero, FL along with marketing, tenant coordination and general operations. Garvalia brings a quarter-century of industry experience, having served as president of Dallas-based Crow Design Centers, and as financial manager and leasing agent of the Boston Design Center.

Garvalia earned his bachelor's degree in accounting and finance from University of Wisconsin La Crosse. He is currently a member of Design Centers International (DCI).
